The sun is shining, and I hope it lasts! Today I'm taking you to Montendre, where you'll discover a beautiful castle with a large stage.

Montendre Castle stands on a 114-meter-high hill and overlooks a vast panorama of moors, woods, and meadows, as well as the tightly packed houses of the old town below. Its origins date back to the Gallo-Roman era, with the construction of a first oppidum in 52 BC by a Roman legionary named Andron.
